Introducing the new addition to Bianchi Pista in 2009. Because most conventional cyclist object to riding a fixed gear for the absence of a break to stop with, Bianch has added another Pista to their 2009 line up. The new Bianchi Pista 2009 line up will include the look and feel of a fixed gear bike but with breaking amenities. Not only will the Pista include front and rear breaks for the first time since its existence, but it will also have a straightbar rather than bullhorn handlebars. Bianchi will offer their conventional cyclist friendly track bike in two of their past color schemes, blue and chrome, and at a slightly higher price than Bianchi’s standard Pista.

I vote boo. I learned here and i think that is the only good thing about the bike, learning on it. it is heavy, uncomfortable seat and the last thing we want to do is put ugly brake line holders on the frame. build your own and build it without brakes or you’ll never make yourself really learn the potential of a fixed gear is what i say…

Bianchi just shot itself in the foot. Hipsters like to take a perfectly good track bike or road bike and wreck havoc by shortening the handlebar, removing the brakes and angle grinding the cable eyelets in order to make it cool and rebellious. So if you sell something that’s already wrecked, then it won’t sell. Hipsters need that stubborn and unintelligent acts like riding brakeless to identify themselves in society. It’s just like selling pre-torn and pre-faded jeans back in the 70s. It was once cool to wear old torn and faded jeans until the companies started selling them. I don’t think those companies did very well.
