Pharrel Has a New Bike - A Fixed Gear

Brooklyn Machine Works, the makers of the highly sought after “Gangsta-Track” frame, seems to be the go-to spot for celebrities who want a fixed gear now days. Beneath Pharrel Williams is his new track bike, decked out in a set of Arrowspokes. The bike, however, isn’t getting raving reviews by Pharrel fans.

One unique fixed gear bike in particular stood out from the rest at the Trek World 2008 event, where Trek revealed their lineup for 2009. The Trek District - a single speed fixed Gates common belt drive bike (no chain) with front and rear breaks and an urban look – is one of many fixed gear bikes to emerge in 09’ that incorporates features for the novice fixed gear rider. The Trek District features a glossy gray Trek specific frame with orange graphics, orange wheel sets, brown handlebar grips and seat, and an optional chain guard. MSRP $929.99
