rvca x cinelli t shirt collection RVCA x Cinelli T Shirt and Hat Collection Pressure

The worlds of fixed gear riding, art, and fashion have been meshed this time by RVCA and Cinelli to bring the streets “Pressure” – a RVCA x Cinelli collection of unforgettable t-shirts. According to RVCA, many inspiring artists took part in the making of the collection, including Ashley Macomber, Barry McGee, Clare Rojas, C.R. Stecyk III, Dan Murphy, Dmote, Jesse Geller, Josh Lazcano, KAWS, Madsaki, Phil Frost, PM Tenore and Stephen Powers.

Some t-shirts are offered in more than one color. Because describing the collection of seven different shirts and a hat will take more time then I have to spare, I’ll leave the breakdown to you. Each tee from this collection will run USD $28.00 and USD $22.00 for the hat.

disney x the hundreds art piece Disney x The Hundreds Art Piece

Even though more people are taking notice to the fixed gear scene, it’s surprising to see this fixie inspired art piece by Disney in collaboration with The Hundreds – an urban apparel outfitter. The piece on the left features an unfamiliar Disney character throwing up the peace sign while leaning up against a fixie. The second collabo (on the right) features another one of Disney’s characters that happens to be sporting a messenger bag. Both characters are dressed in hipster wear. This Disney x The Hundreds art piece goes to show track bikes are continuing to grow in popularity; And we’re sure with Disney come more enthusiasts.

kidrobot x nemesis project fixed gear bike 21 Kidrobot x Nemesis Project Fixed Gear Bike

The one of a kind Kidrobot x Nemesis Project fixies is by far the sickest track bike I’ve ever seen. The creator, Brad Hodges from the Nemesis Project built this bike 100% from scratch for Kidrobot – an urban toy and appeal shop with a deep interest in art. The bike was originally created to celebrate the grand opening of Kidrobot’s new flagship store in Miami, Florida, before venturing to a small bike shop in Sacramento, California where it’s awaiting someone with $6,000.00 to buy it.

Both Brad and the founders of Kidrobot put a lot of thought into customizing this bike. Even the sterling silver Kidrobot head emblem, which was done by Osa at Complete Technique, on the front of the frame is proprietary. It doesn’t stop there. The Kidrobot bike also comes with a u-lock that matches in color, a Kidrobot keychain, and a seat made out of Ostrich, to name a few.

Here are some more specifications I found on Brand’s site (I think) pertaining to the Kidrobot x Nemesis Project fixed gear.

nike air force 1 silver service bike 1 Nike Air Force 1 Silver Service Bike

Nike Air Force 1 hype has been prevalent throughout fashion, music, events, etc, and now the fixed gear scene. The Wilson Brothers, who also designed the Stussy Zoomer, in tribute to sneakers’ silver anniversary, modeled a steel frame fixed gear bike after the Nike AF 1. The track bike “Air Force 1 Silver Service” features an all-around white theme with a hint of black attributes, resembling the Nike Air Force 1 as best a bike can. Today, the fixie sits on display at Dover Street Market in London.

 Bike Fork Bottle Opener

If you drink beer and you like bikes, a beer opener made from a bike fork might spark your interest. This particular bike fork beer opener started its life out as a Colnago fork. After the bike was unsalvageable, the fork was ripped from its frame and made into a functional lightweight bottle opener. This goes to show that there is always a use for old bike parts.

steerhornbamboobike650x493 300x227 Bamboo Fixie with Real Bullhorn Handelbars

One of the reasons why fixed gear riding is beginning to boom in cities around the word is because a fixie can be made up of nearly anything – even bamboo. That’s just what this fixed gear beauty’s frame is made of. The bamboo frame is supported by bamboo fiber wraps, which gives the rider the stability he/she needs. The uniqueness of this bike goes beond the frame, too. The handlebars are actual real bullhorn handlebars off of a Texas bull. Despite the materials that this bike is made from, it’s limits aren’t any different from the next fixie.
