According to Fixed Gear Blog, the team at yksivaihde.net is building them a fixie influenced beer tap for their Christmas party of 08’. The beer tap, designed by ChopperOlli, is decorated with dropdown handlebars and hosts a selection of two beers.

Japanese bike seat builder Kamashimax has teamed up with Chari & Co., a New York track bike shop, to crate a seat and shirt combo. The white seat features ‘Kashimax’ embroidered in the center with red stars and comes with a shirt that mirrors it. » Read the rest of the entry..

Last Thursday (9/18) was the first, in a series of two goldsprint competitions sponsored by PUMA and Vice. The I-Cycle Space at Vice Gallery was the battle grounds for the first I-Cycle Throwdown that brought together a mix of industry leaders, brands and bike messengers in a head-to-head stationary bike race. The night featured a diverse mix of teams, ranging from Complex Magazine, Staple Design, Fader Magazine, D.A.R.T (Mishka NYC), CycleHawk. The night was full of intense competition, as teams looked to post their best times and qualify for this Friday’s finals.

There’s a lot of cool new fixie influenced t-shirts rolling out and REBEL8, a San Francisco-based lifestyle clothing brand, holds true of that with there fixed gear t-shirt. The front and back of the tee features a guy tagging on the side of a building while standing on the seat and frame of his track bike to reach.

Cinelli Vigorelli x Mash SF Fixed Gear Bike

With the 2008 Las Vegas Interbike show in full swing, our minds are finally given some closure on big names like Cinelli and MASH SF. Introducing a Cinelli Vigorelli x Mash SF fixed gear bike, which was unveiled today. There wasn’t much text about it on MASH SF’s blog but judging from the photographs, I’d bet this thing halls ass.

Some tech savvy cyclist came up with a fixed gear calculator that can be downloaded as an iPhone or iPod Touch application via the iPhone App Store. The fixed gear calculator is capable of calculating gear ratios, gain ratios, gear inches, and development – to list a few. The calculator is only offered in English at the moment and requires at least 1MB of disk space on an iPhone running 2.0 software or an iPod Touch. Check out more details here.
